
The LIRR Main Line Expansion is a $2.8 billion construction project that spans from Floral Park to Hicksville, aiming to reduce congestion and delays, improve safety, and create a more reliable rail network. This rail expansion includes 9.8 miles of new third track, the elimination of eight street-level grade crossings, modifications to seven rail bridges, ADA improvements, enhanced stations, and more.
CAMECC offered a wide range of project management services, including project planning, detailed cost breakdown, development and maintenance of the detailed baseline schedule, integrate subcontractor schedule, risk management, delay analysis, progress reporting, resource management and stakeholder management.

The construction project involves the elimination of eight street-level grade crossings, modifications to seven rail bridges, and the installation of sound and retaining walls throughout the corridor to minimize train noise. It also includes ADA improvements, enhanced stations, new substations, new parking facilities, landscaping, and the addition of a third track as part of the rail expansion efforts.
